LOCAL MOSAIC ARTIST SELECTED
TO PRESENT AT
THE LARGEST MOSAIC ART ORGANIZATION IN THE WORLD
Lou Ann Weeks, local Orlando Mosaic Artist, has been selected to present 2 workshops at the American Mosaic Summit 2012. This is the 11th annual conference for the Society of American Mosaic Artists (SAMA)and is being held at the Lexington Center in Lexington, KY from February 29th through March 4th of next year. SAMA is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating, inspiring and promoting excellence in mosaic art, with over 1,200 national and international members.
Lou Ann will be conducting a workshop entitled “Creating Stained Glass Mosaics” and “Power Your Way Through Stained Glass Cuts” which teaches the use of cutting glass using a wet saw. She has been a mosaic artist for over 12 years and has taught classes to young and old, alike. Currently, she is teaching a mosaic class at the Pottery Studio in Orlando. Her work is exhibited at the Art Gallery of Viera and she has completed many large mosaic public installations.
